INDIA Through Rosey's Tinted Spectacles

For two weeks in December my mum and dad very kindly let me tag along on their trip to India. We started in Deli where we spent one day in New Deli and one day in the old town. We then took a sleeper to Varanasi to see the Ganges. From there we travelled back north to Khajaraho and the Chandela dynasty temples. We then drove west to Orcha, a small town fairly free of tourists. From Orcha we took the train to Argra and the Taj Mahal. The next three days were spent in the Ranthambore national park hunting for tigers. We then travelled continually west to Udaipur, stopping in Jaipur and Jodhpur. A whistle stop tour but wonderful none-the-less.

The frost was so thick it look liked snow in places.

The university has a bunk house in the Yorkshire Dales that is available to book out. We did this and spent a very sunny November weekend there. This is the limestone pavement outside the bunk house in the morning light.

Ambleside, Cumbria

On the path around Stock Ghyll Falls there is a rotten old tree stump that has had pennies pushed into it (for good luck perhaps?).
